Main responsibilities:
More specifically, the Senior Project Manager, GNFR Strategic Sourcing will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of various complex projects across the enterprise, as well as leading or mentoring other project managers.
Project management responsibilities include, but are not limited to driving complex, cross-functional sourcing events, driving cost savings opportunities, and supporting short- and long-term sourcing strategies. This role requires strong project management skills, the ability to partner with stakeholders across business units, to influence effectively, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Lead and/or mentor other project managers
- Lead the project management of high complexity strategic sourcing projects across various categories, including: transformation projects, sourcing events, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and implementation
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and stakeholder communications for sourcing initiatives
- Collaborate with and influence internal stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Legal, Operations) to define requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders
- Track and report on project milestones, savings, and performance metrics
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
- Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes and tools
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 4-6 years of experience in project management, strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain management, or similar field
- Proven experience managing: complex projects, cross-functional teams, and other project managers
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management abilities
- Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and project management tools
- Experience with sourcing tools preferred but not required (Oracle, Omnea, Ironclad, PerAngusta)
