Who are YOU?
You are a capable Field Engineer with 2 to 4 years of IT support experience, ideally in a managed service provider (MSP) environment. You enjoy solving technical problems, whether that means diagnosing complex issues on-site or supporting clients from M3TC’s business office.
You are comfortable working in a variety of client environments, adapting to different technologies and business needs. You work well independently and as part of a team, and you are always looking for ways to improve systems and deliver better results. You are self-motivated, enjoy learning new things, and take pride in delivering consistent, high-quality work.
You communicate clearly, both in writing and in conversation, making technical information easy to understand for clients and team members. You pay close attention to detail when documenting work, reviewing systems, and implementing solutions. You manage your time effectively, handle multiple tasks, and maintain a customer-first approach that builds trust through responsive and professional service.
You must be prepared to travel for regular on-site client visits and maintain professionalism in every interaction.
What does your day/week look like?
- Provide on-site technical support at client sites when remote solutions are determined to be ineffective or impractical for the required work.
- Provide on-site and remote support for various IT systems, including desktops, servers, printers, and network devices.
- Support commonly used business applications and virtual environments across various platforms.
- Assist with onsite and remote support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, including connectivity, routing, and security components.
- Maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect client data and ensure business continuity.
- Support remote access technologies to enable secure and reliable connectivity for users.
- Perform routine system maintenance, upgrades, and migrations to optimize performance and reliability.
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, service activities, and recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates, explain technical issues, and coordinate planned changes or outages.
- Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
Qualifications

Education
- Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Technology, related field of study, or equivalent work experience

Technical Skills
- Proficiency in desktop software such as Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
- Knowledge in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Apple MacOS
- Knowledge in server, desktop, and laptop hardware manufactured by Apple, Dell, Lenovo or HP
- Knowledge in hardware and cloud storage solutions
- Knowledge in computer networking and protocols
- Knowledge in security software such as endpoint security and web content filtering, vulnerability scanning tools, and other security-related technologies
- Knowledge of disaster recovery solutions
