Position Summary:
The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process to attract, evaluate, and hire top talent across the organization. This role supports key HR functions including candidate sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, compliance, and employee communication. The Recruiter Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining a positive candidate experience and ensuring alignment with company hiring goals and policies. Supports all aspects of the HR department including, but not limited to, personnel records, HRIS maintenance, employee relations, investigations, recruiting, on-boarding, legal compliance, disciplinary action(s), separations, policy, and employee communication.
Essential Position Requirements (include but are not limited to):
- Source, screen, and interview candidates for various roles across departments with a strong emphasis on sales and salaried.
- Coordinate and conduct reference checks, drug testing, and background verifications.
- Manage job postings and advertising strategies to attract qualified applicants.
- Evaluate employment applications and refer suitable candidates to hiring managers.
- Communicate hiring decisions and offer details to candidates.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records in the HRIS system.
- Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, training, and promotions, using human resources management system software. Support evaluation processes
- Record data for each employee, including such information as addresses, absences, supervisory reports on performance, and dates of and reasons for disciplinary action and terminations.
- Conduct reference, drug-testing, and background checks on job applicants.
- Conduct exit interviews and ensure that necessary employment termination paperwork is completed.
- Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
- Hire employees and process hiring-related paperwork in the HRIS.
- Inform job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotion opportunities.
- Tactfully address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns.
- Answer questions regarding eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.
- Prepare and set up for new employee orientations.
- Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities.
- Interview job applicants to obtain and verify information used to screen and evaluate them.
- Process and review employment applications to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants.
- Inform job applicants of their acceptance or rejection of employment.
- Select applicants meeting specified job requirements and refer them to hiring personnel.
- Arrange for advertising or posting of job vacancies and notify eligible workers of position availability.
- Request information from law enforcement officials, previous employers, and other references to determine applicants' employment acceptability.
- Provide data to the HR Director as needed
- Supports onboarding for new hires
- Ensures company policy is consistent with practice and vice versa
- Supports the annual benefits enrollment process
- Prepares and distributes written and verbal information to inform employees of benefits
- Prepare separation notices as needed
- Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
- Maintain a working knowledge and be in compliance with corporate standards for business conduct and federal antitrust laws.
- Adhere to Cellofoam North America Inc. company focus areas – safety, financial, customer, and people.
- Keeps HR Director informed at all times of potential issues and concerns
Qualifications
Education Requirements
- High School/GED
- 4 Year University Degree or comparable background of work-related experience in human resources related discipline preferred
