1. USRN with knowledge on anatomy and pathophysiology, and disease process.
2. Minimum 3 years bed side experience in specialized areas (acute care setting)
3. Coding knowledge (ICD-10, HCPCS, Clinical codes and compliance, DRGs with MCCs and CCs, APR-DRG and MSDRG required)
4. Certified coder is required - AHIMA only - CCS
5. Certifications and continuing education as required by clients – CCDS (Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist) and/or CDIP (Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner)
6. Expert Microsoft office skills a must (EXCEL and PowerPoint required)
7. One year EPIC experience required
