What You’ll Do:
The Manager for Spencer’s Restaurant and Base 9 Bar support overseeing all front-of-house operations for a dynamic, three-meal-a-day, seven-day-a-week restaurant and bar. This leadership role is responsible for delivering outstanding guest experiences, driving operational efficiency, and fostering a cohesive team culture aligned with company standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive, hands-on leader with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include staff supervision, service quality assurance, and coordination across shifts to ensure smooth daily operations. Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential. Position is located on premises in Breckenridge, CO. Full-time, year-round position with benefits eligibility. Transitional housing may be available.
Position range $68,000-$75,000 annual salary DOE
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Lead and train two direct reports and 10–15 indirect reports, including assistant managers, servers, hosts, and bartenders.
- Manage scheduling, time and attendance tracking, and payroll processing for assigned staff.
- Oversee performance management by setting goals, monitoring progress, providing feedback, and implementing corrective actions.
- Partner with HR to recruit and hire new staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and applicable labor laws.
- Support inventory control, cost management, and adherence to budgetary targets.
- Collaborate with culinary and bar leadership to ensure seamless coordination and consistent service delivery.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and address service or operational concerns promptly.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness, organization, and service across all dining and bar areas.
- Monitor staffing levels and adjust schedules to meet business needs and financial objectives.
- Establish and refine operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Train, mentor, and supervise staff to maintain high performance and service standards.
- Collaborate in the development of budgets, forecasts, and expense management strategies.
- Partner and support other food and beverage operations as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Highschool diploma or GED – required
- Bachelor's degree in business, culinary arts, hospitality or equivalent experience – required
- 4+ years Hospitality or Resort experience - required
- 4+ years supervisory or management experience in a full-service restaurant or hospitality environment - preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook and Word - required
- Proficiency in English written and spoken language – required
- Experience with scheduling systems, POS platforms, and payroll/timekeeping software - required
