Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems, Advanced Weapons in Northridge, CA is currently seeking an Assembler 2 to join our team.
This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working in a team environment, can perform tasks under a stereo zoom microscope, fine pitch soldering of circuit card assemblies, and intricate wire harnesses.
The qualified candidate needs to be able to work from diagrams, drawings, and work instructions to meet customer requirements. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed work. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble.
The chosen candidate will need to successfully complete in-house workmanship criteria training classes for continued employment.
Basic Qualifications Assembler 2
- High School diploma or GED and at least 2 years of professional experience
- Ability to perform tasks from written directions and drawings.
- Demonstrated high level of attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to flex between job responsibilities based on business demand.
- Ability to perform manufacturing / assembly tasks, at a high level, in a metric-based work environment.
- Ability to move objects weighing up to 10 pounds from one location to another and wear basic PPE.
- Basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must be able to obtain a United States Government Secret clearance for which US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
Preferred Qualifications for Assembler 2:
- IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, and/or J-STD-001 certifications
- Active DOD clearance
- Associate degree in an electronic or technical discipline."
