Composed of 40 Nephrologists and 40 Nephrology Advanced Practitioners, our practice serves patients from eight convenient locations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Electronically scans, indexes, and routes medical record documents into patient records utilizing Acumen Epic EMR and File Explorer
- Works various EMR work queues
- Answers incoming department telephone calls
- Processes continuation of care release of information requests, adhering to HIPAA and State privacy guidelines
- Works collaboratively within an enthusiastic and highly motivated centralized Health Information Management/Medical Records department.
- Maintains strict confidentiality and data integrity at all times
Full-time, work schedules available: 7a-3:30p, 7:30a-4p, 8a-4:30p or 8:30a-5p
Requirements
Attendance: Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position. The ability to consistently adhere to scheduled work hours and fulfill job responsibilities in a timely manner is critical to the success of the role and the overall operations of the team.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in a healthcare office environment required; knowledge of HIPAA and release of information practices is necessary
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with EMR, Microsoft Outlook, and general office equipmen
- Personal Qualities: Self-starter, organized, detail-oriented, and ability to work in a high volume atmosphere
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to courteous and professional service
