About the Role:
The Office Coordinator at the Heart Center, plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Heart Center including pre-registration, registration, data collection, reception, information distribution, obtaining consents and releases to enhance patient care services. By effectively handling administrative tasks and resolving operational challenges, this role contributes directly to the quality and efficiency of healthcare delivery.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
- Proficiency with office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with patients, staff, and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a cardiology or specialized healthcare environment.
- Familiarity with medical billing and coding processes.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards.
- Demonstrated ability to use scheduling software and practice management systems.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily office operations including scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Serve as the primary liaison between healthcare providers, and patients, to ensure clear and timely communication.
