Are you an experienced Restaurant Manager who is looking for a exciting three meal Resort experience? We have the opportunity for you at the beautiful Pacific Palms Resort in City of Industry. High above the San Gabriel Valley, our premier restaurant features outdoor dining at it's finest
Management position to ensure the successful operation, financial performance, quality of service, and development of managers and service staff for the restaurant. Optimize profit by controlling food, beverage and labor costs. Increase sales by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt problem solution.
This position pays between $70,000 to $72,000 depending on experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Previous Food & Beverage Restaurant Management experience, to include 3 meal dining and bar/lounge expertise
- Restaurant experience to include staffing, training, menu compliance, liquor & inventory control implementation
- Very high mathematical / forecast & budgeting experience and expertise required
- Ability to navigate through business computer programs
- Well groomed and present proper management attire at all times
- Position requires leadership ability to guide staff and work directly with culinary management and staff to ensure excellent cover presentation and customer experience.
- Proficiency in food planning, preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, record keeping, and report preparations.
- Ensure comprehensive SOPs are in place for all areas and update to ensure that all are current
- Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make final decisions on matters of importance while ensuring the restaurant is profitable, operationally sound, and employee performance and guest satisfaction.
- Responsible for developing SOP, staff training and dissemination to include: service dining, wine, liquor certification (RBS), customer service
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs. Ensure restaurant is staffed adequately at all times.
- Responsible for quality & efficiency of department to include cost, labor, financial and standard operating procedures.
- Hire, train, develop, and motivate all employees in the department
- Closely monitor all employees' performance to ensure productivity and adherence to resort Policy and Procedure.
- Make necessary adjustments to the staff as required in order to maintain
- Ability to mentor, motivate and inspire large groups of people
- Wine knowledge and pairing skills
- Possess innovative ideas and marketing strategies to maintain the cutting edge the restaurant hospitality industry.
- Develop creative marketing programs to increase sales and to educate the local community of upcoming events and promotions.
- Work with Marketing to develop and distribute marketing materials.
- Advanced knowledge in menu creation and development
- Ability to professionally lead large groups of lower level managers
- Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to utilize all computer software programs
- Any and all reasonable requests of management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 3 years management experience in a high volume free standing or hotel restaurant management
- Proficiency in Simphony or similar POS required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of alcoholic Beverage programs and ordering
- Must possess a valid Food Handler's and RBS certification
- Ability to multi-task and communicate well with guests, vendors employees & management
- Ability to schedule to business demands
- Oversee the daily operations of outlet for efficient operations.
- Plan and assign daily workloads to outlet associates.
- Develop and enforce established policies and procedures.
- Establish operational strategies to meet quality and customer service standards
