This job is based in our office in Orlando, Florida. Applicants must either live in the area or be willing to move to Central Florida and work from the office daily.

The Senior Project Manager will work closely with Falcon’s internal creative and technical teams as well as outside vendors and clients.  This role is responsible for managing diverse projects of varying scales with regards to design, development, fabrication, installation, operation, maintenance, safety and close out documentation of various projects. These projects are typically theme parks and special themed attractions that combine the services of specialty designers and fabricators, scenic, lighting, AV, and ride vendors to produce a show or an attraction or a series of attractions for our clients.  Major job functions include the overall planning of resources, project organization, scheduling, contract administration and the day-to-day coordination of the project, including coordinating the efforts of Falcon’s team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to execute the project on time and on budget.

Essential Functions: 

Strategic Project & Program Leadership 

  • Provides strategic oversight and direction across multiple large-scale or complex projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, client vision, and operational capacity.
  • Defines program-level objectives, milestones, dependencies, and success metrics in partnership with executive leadership and clients.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of multiple projects or workstreams, ensuring cohesion across interrelated schedules, budgets, and scopes.
  • Anticipates and mitigates portfolio-level risks by proactively identifying interdependencies and implementing preventative strategies.
  • Guides Project Managers in establishing efficient workflows, ensuring standardization of project delivery practices and consistency across teams.
  • Acts as an escalation point for critical project decisions, providing balanced judgment between client expectations, creative intent, and technical feasibility.

Budget, Cost, and Resource Management 

  • Owns financial oversight for multiple concurrent projects or program portfolios, ensuring accuracy and profitability across all engagements.
  • Establishes budget parameters, monitors cost performance, and ensures alignment with revenue and margin goals at the portfolio level.
  • Partners with leadership to develop financial forecasts, capacity plans, and long-term resource strategies based on project pipeline and workload trends.
  • Reviews and approves change orders, vendor contracts, and major financial commitments within authority limits.
  • Oversees vendor and subcontractor performance at a strategic level, ensuring scope, schedule, and quality alignment across multiple contracts.
  • Provides financial mentorship to Project Managers, reviewing their cost control practices and supporting continuous improvement in budget discipline.

Client & Stakeholder Leadership 

  • Serves as a client partner, leading strategic conversations, establishing long-term relationships, and ensuring alignment with client goals and business outcomes.
  • Anticipates client needs, proactively managing scope evolution and identifying opportunities for expanded partnership or new business.
  • Leads executive-level presentations and progress reviews, distilling complex information into actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Oversees resolution of escalated client issues, ensuring timely and strategic responses that preserve trust and project momentum.
  • Partners with internal leadership to align client expectations with creative, technical, and production realities.
  • Mentors Project Managers on client communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management techniques.

Project Documentation, Quality, and Governance 

  • Establishes and enforces documentation, reporting, and approval standards across all assigned programs to ensure consistency and transparency.
  • Oversee performance of Project Managers in tracking and reporting project health (scope, schedule, budget, risk) to leadership and clients.
  • Reviews critical project documentation for accuracy, completeness, and strategic alignment before client or executive distribution.
  • Leads portfolio-level reviews to assess project health, resource balance, and adherence to delivery standards.
  • Ensures that all projects comply with internal governance, client standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Identify systemic challenges in project execution and lead cross-departmental initiatives to address root causes.

Leadership, Team Development & Process Optimization 

  • Provides leadership, coaching, and career development for Project Managers, Associate PMs, and Coordinators, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Leads resource allocation and workload balancing across teams, ensuring equitable distribution and optimized performance.
  • Partners with senior leadership to shape departmental standards, methodologies, and PMO frameworks for improved efficiency and scalability.
  • Champions innovation and adoption of tools, templates, and process improvements to strengthen project delivery consistency.
  • Contributes to strategic planning and organizational initiatives, offering insight on capacity, risk, and operational efficiency.
  • Models proactive, solutions-oriented leadership and reinforces collaboration between creative, technical, and operational functions.

Job Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • Ability to coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure that information passes smoothly from different disciplines and teams as well as ensuring that all teams are equipped with the information that they need to complete their work per the schedule.
  • Deep knowledge of common software packages including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
  • Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet or ACC, Bluebeam, Adobe Photoshop, and/or Adobe InDesign is preferred
  • Responsible for cross-discipline communication of information and creating team meetings that are organized, efficient, and concise.
  • Candidate must be a problem solver and team player and very organized, self-motivated, pro-active, and communicative.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America.
  • Will not require Falcon’s Treehouse, LLC to commence (“sponsor”) an immigration case in order to be employed (now or in the future).
  • Bonus: PMP (obtained or obtaining)

This at-will, in-office position is being hired to support a specific client project. While this role is a full-time position with Falcon's Creative Group, employment will not extend beyond the duration of the project. The assignment will conclude once the project is completed, at which time employment with Falcon's Creative Group will end. The expected project timeline is to be determined. For avoidance of doubt, employment with Falcon’s would be at-will at all times, meaning that the employee or Falcon’s may terminate the employment at any time (including prior to the conclusion of the project).
