Data and information are core to the work that we do. We are seeking an IT Data Services Engineer to help us further our mission and achieve our business goals.

Working in the Information Systems and Technology department, the IT Data Services Engineer designs, builds, and maintains systems that collect, store, and transform raw data into usable information for analysis and other applications. This position is responsible for building data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and making data accessible to other teams within the  organization. The IT Data Services Engineer is a technical expert who builds and manages the systems that enable the organization to use data for business insights and decision-making. 

You will—

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to move data from various sources into data warehouses or data lakes. 
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from different sources, both internal and external, into a unified format for analysis. 
  • Data Quality Management: Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through data validation, cleansing, and monitoring processes. 
  • Database and Data Warehouse Management: Build, manage, and optimize databases and data warehouses to support data storage and retrieval. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide them with the necessary tools and data infrastructure
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing for maximum performance and efficiency. 
  • Data Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain data security and privacy policies and procedures. 
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation related to data architecture, data pipelines, and data workflows. 

You will enjoy this role if you—

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field.
  • Have a minimum of three years’ proven experience in data engineering, software development, or related roles.
  • Possess proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, Scala).
  • Have strong knowledge of database systems, data modeling techniques, and SQL proficiency.
  • Proficiency with ETL tools commonly used in data engineering (e.g., SSIS, Databricks, Azure Data Factory).
  • Have experience with data technologies and frameworks (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
  • Have familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Have effective communication and collaboration skills in a team environment.
  • Can adapt to evolving technologies and business requirements.
  • Possess strong computer literacy and proficiency using PCs, including a working knowledge of common applications such as those in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understand and follow sound principles of cybersecurity, including protecting sensitive information, using secure passwords, and following organizational cybersecurity protocols.

Benefits and Compensation

The base salary range for this full-time position is $77,700–$91,400 + discretionary pay + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and mid-point for the position across all locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter will share more details during the hiring process.
