Position Summary |
This position is responsible for supporting the integration of the Steffes Project Management System to bring structure to projects, improve team coordination, and provide critical data for making informed decisions, ultimately driving project success. This position will also have a strong emphasis on process improvement supporting functional groups in the development and/or optimization of internal processes. This position requires strong organizational and project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work cross-functionally. |

Key Responsibilities |
1. Support the Project Manager in the development, improvement, and sustainment of the Project Management System. 2. Develop reports and insights on project health, resource capacity, and process performance. 3. Become proficient in the Project Management Software and provide support to end users. 4. Provide direct support to engineering team regarding project management and adherence to the Project Management System. 5. Train, develop, and coach project management champions in the utilization of the standardized processes and tools defined in the Project Management System. 6. Exercise scope management with consideration for the customer, team, and company needs. 7. Serve as project manager for low-to-medium complexity strategic/cross-functional projects. 8. Support operational and functional departments in developing, configuring, and optimizing internal processes to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, quality, and sustainability. 9. Identify and eliminate redundancies or conflicting process changes across the organization. 10. Serve as a liaison between departments to ensure process alignment. 11. Aid in the development of data collection systems to support process improvement. 12. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in collaborative manner with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management. 13. Helps company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives. 14. Other duties may be assigned. |

Job Requirements/Qualifications |
· Bachelor of Science degree in engineering discipline or equivalent, and/or years of experience. Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred. · 1+ years of related work experience preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment, including experience in project management roles. · Strong understanding of project management challenges and methods for resolution. · Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint; experience in project management software is a plus. · Effective verbal and written communication, including interpersonal skills. · Self-driven, flexible/adaptable, and able to effectively manage time, priorities, and resources. OR · Acceptable combination of skills and/or experience. |
Functional & Cognitive Requirements of Position |
· This position requires walking, sitting, or standing to a significant degree. · Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 20 pounds. · Must have the ability to climb ladders and/or stairs. · Stooping, crouching, kneeling, and bending. · Handling, feeling, and gripping would be required for some activities. · This role may be subject to internal and external environmental conditions |
