Overview:

WHO are we looking for?

 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Data and Integration Server Engineer to coordinate cross-functional IT efforts during mergers and acquisitions to ensure a seamless server and data ecosystem transition.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level server infrastructure with a focus on data backup and retention systems
  • Develop and enforce backup and data retention policies in line with regulatory and organizational standards
  • Lead the technical integration of server environments from acquired companies, ensuring system compatibility, security, and performance
  • Coordinate cross-functional IT efforts during mergers and acquisitions to ensure a seamless server and data ecosystem transition
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize backup processes and server health, identifying risks and mitigating issues before they escalate
  • Document server configurations, integration procedures, and backup protocols
  • Collaborate with security teams to safeguard data during retention and transfer processes
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in server engineering, with hands-on experience in enterprise data backup and retention systems
  • Strong understanding of data lifecycle management, compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and security best practices
  • Proven experience with system integrations in M&A scenarios
  • Proficiency in Windows/Linux server environments, backup platforms (e.g., Veeam, Commvault), and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware)

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive mindset
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including deployment, configuration, and monitoring

  • Experience performing migrations using SharePoint Migration Tool and ShareGate, ensuring seamless data transfer

  • Solid understanding of relational databases, including MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server, with skills in optimization and maintenance

  • Ability to develop and automate administrative tasks using PowerShell scripting

  • Familiarity with best practices for security, compliance, and performance across cloud and on-premises environments

  • Strong knowledge of Commvault backup and recovery solutions for enterprise environments

  • Expertise in Veeam backup and replication technologies for virtual and physical system
