POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Director of Marketing & Communications will be a key leader within the organization, responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to drive brand growth, customer acquisition, and revenue generation for an evolving organization. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of market trends, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of successful marketing campaigns and team leadership. This is a hybrid or remote based position, preferably located on the east coast or within easy travel distance to IMA’s headquarters in Montvale, NJ.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of marketing, communication and public relations professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment to achieve departmental goals. Coach team to develop problem-solving capabilities and creating collaborative environment where staff feel empowered to voice concerns and contribute constructive feedback.
- Strategy Development: Lead the creation and implementation of comprehensive global B2B and B2C marketing strategies that align with the company’s overall business goals and objectives.
- Brand Management: Oversee and manage the company’s brand identity globally, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels and touchpoints.
- Organizational Management: Implement structured communication protocols including documentation of Stakeholder needs, key decisions, project RACI matrices, and consultation processes.
- Campaign Execution: Oversee and contribute to the development and execution of high-impact marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, content marketing, and traditional advertising, to drive B2B and B2C customer engagement and sales.
- Market Research: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape, providing actionable insights to inform marketing strategies.
- PR & Communications: Responsible for managing IMA’s image and reputation through strategic communication efforts ensuring consistent messaging and brand awareness across various platforms and audiences.
- Budget Management: Develop and oversee the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
- Metrics and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly report on marketing activities, performance, and outcomes to senior leadership.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product development, and other departments to ensure alignment and integration of marketing efforts across the organization.
- Customer Insights: Utilize customer feedback and data analytics to refine marketing strategies and improve customer experience.
- Vendor Management: Manage all vendors and work closely with partners including the global ad agency, regional ad agencies, technology vendors, and course provider marketing teams.
- MarCom Tools Oversite: Manage organization investments in, use and integration of various marketing and communications platforms and related tools which support department needs, working closely with the technology team to ensure system integrity and use best practices.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging marketing technologies and platforms, implementing innovative solutions to enhance marketing effectiveness.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in marketing, with at least 5 years successfully building and leading collaborative, high-performing teams.
- Experience with international marketing and global brand management with B2B and B2C focus.
- Experience with a trade association, professional society or certification body, and/or experience revamping an organization’s Marcomm strategy, beneficial.
- Proven ability to develop and implement successful marketing strategies.
- Track record of successful product launches and market expansion.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience successfully leading teams through organizational transitions while maintaining morale
