OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a Continuous Improvement Specialist to design, develop and support the efficiency and continuous improvement of new and existing production processes, and assesses the effectiveness of the quality processes of the organization. Recognizes problem areas, develops improvement plans, executes improvement plans and aids in analyzing results.? 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews production processes, company policies, worker habits and organization systems for efficiency
  • Documents production processes such as process mapping, material specifications, drawings, and standard work
  • Analyzes quality data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement 
  • Prioritizes problem areas
  • Partners with management and staff to develop improvement plans to address inefficiencies and maximize output? 
  • Recommends and implements plans to improve efficiency, eliminate waste, reduce costs, increase customer satisfaction, and improve safety
  • Implements improvement plans, creates training, helps employees, and/or leads new initiatives? 
  • Analyzes and monitors results to determine effectiveness and impact of initiatives using Lean principles to assist with future endeavors? 
  • Leads cross-functional project teams
  • Supports operational priorities in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, production, and cost containment
  • Leads Kaizen events
Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years’ experience in leading significant continuous improvement projects or programs in a Lean-Six Sigma environment
  • Possess well-developed and demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and project management skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • PC knowledge/computer literate; including the ability to work with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.), e-mail and use the internet
  • Working knowledge of LEAN principles or other continuous improvement skills
  • Possess excellent organizational skills
  • Skilled at workflow analysis
  • Experience with high volume manufacturing
  • Must have strong project planning and management skills to prioritize tasks and establish framework and systems for managing areas of responsibility
  • Ability to work in a multi-functional team environment
  • Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt certification

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. $76,000-$105,000 Yearly
