Description

SUMMARY:

The Executive Protection Officer position is a full-time assignment dedicated exclusively to the protection and accompaniment of the Chairman and/or Executive Staff (Dignitaries) as assigned. The assigned officer shall shadow the Dignitaries during the performance of official duties, travel, meetings, and daily activities within Tribal enterprises or on Tribal property. When the Dignitaries are not engaged in events, the officer shall remain proximate and available, maintaining continuous protective presence and situational awareness. The officer will also perform security planning, coordination, and readiness tasks to support ongoing protective operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide close and professional personal protection during public and private engagements as well as during the performance of official duties,
  • Conduct security advances, route planning, and risk assessments for movements and events.
  • Coordinate with Tribal, local, and federal agencies to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Operate and maintain protective vehicles in a professional and secure manner.
  • Provide medical or emergency response within level of certification.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all operations and personal information of protected.
  • Prepare reports, logs, and after-action summaries following protective details.
  • Assist with planning and security for special events and high-profile visitors.
  • Other related duties as assigned. Train and mentor officers in guest service, emergency response, de-escalation, and report writing.

Qualifications


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (MUST BE DOCUMENTED):

  • High School Degree (or GED)
  • Two (2) years (or equivalent) supervisory experience preferred.
  • Dignitary or VIP protection background preferred.
  • Military Experience a plus.
  • Tribal or gaming public safety experience is strongly preferred.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSES AND ANY ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must pass periodic random drug screens. 
  • Must be able to pass background suitability investigation.
  • Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License.
  • Must pass physical agility test which consist of a timed 1 ½ mile run, sit-ups and push-ups
  • Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses.
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license
  • Must possess CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
  • Must possess and maintain a current Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Guard Card.
  • Must possess and maintain a current Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Firearms Permit.
  • Must possess and maintain a current Conceal Carry Weapon (CCW) Firearms Permit
  • Must possess and maintain a current Baton Permit
  • Must possess and maintain a current Chemical Agent Permit
  • Must pass Firearm qualifications.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle or feel objects. The employee may occasionally lift up to 75 pounds and push or pull up to 150 pounds. The role may require bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, or extended standing. Must maintain physical condition suitable for responding to emergencies.

Vision, hearing, and verbal communication must be sufficient to observe, report, and respond effectively to conditions across casino and field environments. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Multiple locations.
  • Some enterprises are open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week; therefore, you must be flexible to work any and all hours.
  • Must be available for emergency calls 24/7.
  • Must be available to work weekend and holidays.
  • Some enterprises are gaming facilities.
  • Some enterprises are not a smoke-free environment.
  • Surveillance cameras and audio equipment monitor the premises recording activity throughout most of the facilities 24 hours per day, 7 days per week basis.
