We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Estimator to join our team in Carlisle. This role supports our sales and project management teams by preparing accurate cost estimates and takeoffs that ensure project success from start to finish.

Position Overview

The Fire Sprinkler Estimator is responsible for preparing comprehensive cost estimates for fire sprinkler systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of fire protection or mechanical systems, strong technical and analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to prepare detailed cost estimates for fire sprinkler systems.
   
• Determine material, equipment, and labor requirements; create itemized takeoffs and pricing summaries.
   
• Analyze data to assess cost effectiveness and develop accurate bids.
   
• Support project managers and sales teams in preparing proposals and bid submissions.
   
• Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to clarify project details and resolve discrepancies.
   
• Maintain and improve the company’s centralized cost estimating database and historical cost records.
   
• Recommend process improvements to increase estimating accuracy and efficiency.
   
• Participate in value engineering efforts and provide cost-saving recommendations.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience (4+ years in fire protection or mechanical estimating).
   
• Estimating experience, preferably in fire sprinkler or mechanical systems.
   
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
   
• Strong math aptitude, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
   
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); CAD/BIM experience preferred.
   
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
   
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
