Applications are being accepted for the position of Grounds Worker (Full-Time) for our Power Rd Campus (6625 S Power Rd, Mesa, AZ 85212). The hours are M-F 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Position Summary: Under general supervision, the Grounds Worker supports the upkeep, safety, and appearance of EVIT’s campus grounds. This position performs routine and semi-skilled groundskeeping and horticultural work; plants and maintains lawns, trees, shrubs, and flowers; and installs, operates, maintains, and repairs irrigation/sprinkler systems. The employee routinely operates powered equipment and hand tools, follows established safety practices, and maintains basic records.

The starting hourly rate is $20.42- $24.71. Placement in the range will be based on a combination of education, industry related experience, and related certification.

Job Type: Full Time, 12 Month Calendar

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.
One (1) year of grounds, landscaping, parks, golf, or related maintenance experience preferred.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions.

Licensing /Certification and Other Requirements:

Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Prints (IVP) Level 1 fingerprint card.
Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.
Valid Arizona driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Preferred: Arizona Certified Applicator (or ability to obtain within 12 months); ADEQ Backflow Tester or irrigation certification(s) a plus.
