Green Valley Recreation, Inc. (GVR) is a membership-based nonprofit (501(c)(4)) serving more than 80% of households in the Green Valley, Arizona area. We provide exceptional recreation, social, and leisure opportunities that enhance the quality of our members’ lives through 14 recreation centers—including an award-winning 24-court pickleball facility.

About the Position
As a Seasonal Customer Service Representative, you’ll be part of the team that serves as the welcoming face of GVR during our busy winter season (November–April). You’ll help members register for classes, purchase event tickets and guest cards, and get answers to their questions.
If you enjoy working with people, are comfortable learning new computer systems, and want to help others make the most of their GVR membership, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities

Provide warm, professional customer service to members, guests, and the public—both in person and over the phone.

Assist members with class registrations, event ticket sales, and guest or tenant card purchases.

Update and maintain accurate member records in the membership database.

Process and mail welcome letters and packets for new members.

Identify and resolve member issues or refer them appropriately for follow-up.

Provide forms, documents, and general information about GVR programs and services.

Manage incoming calls and route messages or deliveries as needed.

Support department operations and special projects as directed by senior staff.

Issue member, guest, and tenant access cards.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Proficiency with computers; ability to learn new software quickly.

Attention to detail and accuracy when handling transactions or data.

Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
Schedule & Compensation
-
Seasonal Position: "Snowbird Season" November through the end of March.
-
Work Hours: 40 hours per week; schedule varies by location.
-
Pay: Competitive hourly rate: $15.20-$17.70.
Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one-year of relevant work experience.
- Must maintain current CPR AED certification if designated for the position.

- Strong knowledge of, and proven experience with, computers and software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to learn departmental software programs and applications as needed.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to read, write and be fluent in the English language.
