The Showroom Receptionist serves as the host and ambassador for Tharp Custom Cabinetry, welcoming and assisting both internal and external customers while ensuring a professional and positive experience. This role supports the Director of Sales with administrative tasks, contributes to marketing administrative duties, and manages day-to-day showroom operations. The position requires strong customer service, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data tracking and reporting.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Greet and serve as the first point of contact for visitors, vendors, clients, and customers, providing a professional and welcoming experience.
- Act as a showroom host, walking potential customers through Tharp Cabinets’ products and offerings.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of Tharp Cabinets’ products, construction, and services to answer customer questions effectively.
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Sales, including scheduling, data entry, reporting, and other clerical tasks.
- Support marketing initiatives including but not limited to assisting with campaign coordination, materials management, social media postings, and event logistics.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in CRM and other systems.
- Manage showroom operations, including coordinating new displays, scheduling, sample management, general organization, mail runs, maintain cleanliness of displays and conference room, and coordinate meals for customer meetings.
- Partner with the sales team to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Process work in a timely and quality-focused manner.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Dependable, professional, and customer-focused.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for reporting and analytics.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Marketing support experience preferred (e.g., campaign assistance, social media, or event support).
- Reliable transportation.
Experience & Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative, or customer-facing role required.
- Experience in marketing support or administrative assistance for sales/marketing preferred.
- Prior experience in a professional office or showroom environment a plus.
