2^nd shift CNC Machine Operator Summary: The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality metal and aluminum parts used in truck and trailer body manufacturing. This role ensures parts meet precise specifications and quality standards, contributing directly to the production of durable, custom-built truck bodies and trailers.

2^nd shift CNC Machine Operator Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machinery to cut, shape, and finish metal or aluminum components according to engineering drawings and production orders.
• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and work instructions to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality.
• Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job.
• Monitor machine operation and adjust feeds, speeds, or tooling as needed to maintain part quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on CNC machines to prevent downtime. 

2^nd shift CNC Machine Operator Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  

• Strong knowledge of CNC programming and G-code understanding preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools and inspection techniques.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting equipment or part variances.
• Basic understanding of metal fabrication and machining principles.
• Attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.

2^nd shift CNC Machine Operator Education and Experience 

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training or certification in CNC machining or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of CNC operating experience, preferably in metal fabrication or manufacturing.
• Experience with truck, trailer, or automotive components a plus.

• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
• Must be able to communicate clearly
• Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, crawl, and kneel
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
