The Salt Lake City Temple Celebration will welcome guests from across the globe to experience the reverence and beauty of this sacred space. We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Staffing Coordinator to help manage the day-to-day logistics of volunteer and staff scheduling. This role is perfect for someone who is organized and finds fulfillment in helping others succeed. You’ll be the go-to person for shift coordination, schedule updates, and on-the-ground support—making sure the right people are in the right place at the right time. This position reports to the Staffing and Volunteer Manager.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain daily and weekly staffing schedules across all event zones
Communicate shift assignments and updates to volunteers and support staff
Assist with onboarding and training logistics for new team members
Provide on-site support and troubleshoot staffing gaps or last-minute changes
Track attendance and shift fulfillment to ensure smooth operations
Coordinate with team leads to align staffing needs with event flow
Help create a positive and organized experience for all volunteers
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and six years of experience or a master's degree with four years of experience, and/or equivalent education and experience.
Experience in scheduling, volunteer coordination, or event operations
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Clear and friendly communication style
Ability to stay calm and flexible in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable using spreadsheets, scheduling platforms, and basic office tools
