POSITION SUMMARY

The Director Business Analysis will be leading a team of Business Analysts, who are responsible for Information Systems, Project Management, and reporting.

DESCRIPTION

Duties and Responsibilities

  • People Leadership
  • Lead team of Business Analysts, promoting teamwork through team member development, evaluation, performance management, and recognition.
  • Solicit team member input, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Information SystemsProject Management (PM):
  • Set the direction for the project team, maximizing their performance. Create an atmosphere of collaboration and iterative improvements, inspiring people and teamwork, and welcoming change by team engagement of planning and problem solving.
  • Actively manage Stakeholder’s expectations, resource alignment, and possible conflicting priorities across the projects. Lead scope definition and communication sessions.
  • Utilize negotiation skill sets to drive project team and Executives to make decisions in a timely manner to deliver project as to agreed scope, schedule and within budget.
  • Create over-arching project roadmaps, communication and change management plans to ensure solutions are documented appropriately to mitigate risk and facilitate successful and timely execution of deliverables.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive solution delivery.
  • Develop status reporting related to solution milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks, and issues to guide and influence senior management discussions and decisions.
  • Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously using strong management and prioritization skills.
  • Work with stakeholders to establish project requirements, priorities, and deadline.
  • Develop executive status reports and track ongoing risks/issues/action items.
  • Facilitates all Project Planning & Execution of PM Activities.
  • Apply PM Processes/Tools Appropriate for projects.
  • Identify/Manage Interdependencies with other projects/initiatives.
  • Work in collaboration with other project team members, facilitate initiation/planning of project scope (i.e., Objectives, resources, milestones, risks, communications, etc.).
  • Identify project and process root causes to ensure problems do not reoccur.
  • Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in Information Systems and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices.
  • Reporting and Departmental Control Functions:
  • Oversee departmental reporting functions of team, ensuring data presented is clear, concise, and accurate.
  • Identify ways to streamline business processes and reporting, creating efficiencies for department.
  • Assist with exam requests by consolidating data and responses on behalf of department.
  • Analytics and Reporting
  • Support business objectives by implementing an information management and business reporting function.
  • Promote creative data visualization to derive practical intelligence.
  • Design and complete routine reporting processes for internal and external partners.
  • Prepare presentations highlighting findings to support decision making.
  • Data Management
  • Develop programs to improve and maintain the integrity of data.
  • Identify data quality issues and implement validation and controls to improve the quality of data.
  • Develop the capability to complete ad hoc data analysis requiring multiple data sets.
  • Query backend systems with goal of data visualization and reporting.
  • System Infrastructure
  • Design and deliver a data visualization strategy with analytic partners.
  • Ensure visualization quality and champion enhancements over time.
  • Work with platform users to gain an understanding and document needs.
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Develop and deliver change communication and training.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years’ business analysis experience.
  • 5+ years’ supervisory experience.
  • Experience in Mortgage industry, preferred.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  • Ability to motivate and develop a dynamic and diverse workforce.
  • Expert in Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint development, SQL, data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI), and Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Ability to “tell the story” with data and create actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and ability to demonstrate strategic thinking.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • High level of integrity, self-motivation, and ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment with changing priorities.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to navigate through the organization, develop strong partnerships, and influence others across the organization without authority.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential issues appropriately.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen.
