The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Lab services team providing day-to-day technical support for IRR’s research. Responsibilities include provision of an efficient glassware wash-up, sterilisation, and media service and ensuring the correct procedures are in place and adhered to for the disposal of waste. 

The post holder will also be required to operate as part of a wider IRR - team to provide cover and support during periods of staff absence.

This post is part-time (17.5 hours per week).

The salary for this post is £26,093 to £28,778 per annum, (pro rata of 35 hours).

Your skills and attributes for success: 

  • Vocational Qualification (SVQ/ONC) plus relevant work experience Or School education to standard grade or equivalent plus relevant work experience. 
  • IT skills and use of basic software such as Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Experience of a customer orientated environment. 
  • Good communication and inter personal skills required. 
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
