Leveraging Equal Access Program (LEAP) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that helps individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Program Coordinator
with LEAP, you'll be one of those extraordinary people. We seek a passionate team player who can successfully assist in program goals and day to day operation of the program. Job Duties & Responsibilities: 
 

  • Support planning, implementation, and coordination of the program and its activities, with a focus on outreach for new home providers, coordinating home studies and audit preparation.
  • Ensure consistent and complete documentation of program services and activities. 
  • Maintain internal documentation of compliance and monitoring.
  • Processes fingerprints and applications of home providers.
  • Support maintaining program related partnerships with community-based and neighborhood organizations.
  • Coordinate program communications internally and externally. 
  • Support the Program Manager and Social Work team to ensure that high quality services are consistently delivered, and the records are maintained in accordance with appropriate standards. 
  • Handle confidential information and documents, as well as potential crisis situations.
  • Coordinate and attend staff meetings, trainings, and other meetings as required. 
  • Manage files of home providers and Individuals served. 
  • Serve as a point of contact for external vendors and customers. 
  • Travel to and from home sites for home visits and outreach events.
  • Coordinate and assist with the move-in of individuals in the program. 
  • Other duties as assigned.  


Job Qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum of three years experience as a Program Coordinator, Case Manager or Housing Specialist. 
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking. 
  • Clear and effective external and internal, verbal and written, communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinker and problem solver who can successfully build and lead an execution strategy from a long-term vision.
  • Passion and knowledge of skill-based workforce development programming and social enterprises.
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office and Google Suite, as
    well as graphic design programs such as Canva for creating flyers and other promotional materials. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and groups, both professional and non-professional, co-workers, management personnel, the public and others. 
  • Access to reliable transportation. 


Preferred Qualifications: 
 

  • Event planning experience 
  • Interested in Social Justice
  • Independent worker 
  • Experience with interviewing and person-centered frameworks such as Motivational Interviewing and trauma-informed care.
