 Columbus House opened its doors in 1982 to provide services for men and women at least 18 years of age. Our goals quickly broadened from the mere provision of food and shelter and simple survival, to understanding and working toward overcoming the problems which cause people to become homeless.

Purpose
 Under the direction of the Chief Operations Officer, the Director of Data Quality and Management oversees the data systems the agency uses.  This includes assuring all required reports are completed in a timely manner and that all data input and output is complete, accurate and timely.  The Director of Data Quality and Management will oversee the implementation of a data quality plan with an annual review and periodic updates.  The Director of Data Quality and Management will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and updates of an agency dashboard for board, executive leadership and middle management using Tableau and other data visualization software. 


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and update agency wide Performance Improvement Measures Dashboard
  • Create, maintain, and update the agency incident report system providing ongoing support and information to the QA committee and Safety Committee as necessary.
  • Create, maintain, and update an agency dashboard for key metrics at board, executive leadership and middle management levels.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of a Data Quality Plan and prepare annual and periodic review reports.
  • Access, develop and run reports from multiple data systems including but not limited to facilities, development, human resources, and finance to assure data quality and key metrics are being met.
  • Oversee the development and use of quality reports for management to improve service delivery and agency outcomes.
  • Oversee the submission of all required program reports including monthly, quarterly, six month and annual reports.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy laws and policies including HIPAA as necessary 
  • Create and maintain tools to better utilize data to make more data driven decisions 
  • Participate in trainings and meetings hosted by appropriate outside entities as directed by supervisor including HDC meetings  
  • Participate in quarterly HMIS steering committee meetings as a nonvoting member, provides feedback and makes suggestions on how to improve
  • Train Data Quality Specialist on creation and submission of all agencies reports to assure a reliable succession plan is in place.
  •  Other related duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field 
  • Significant relevant professional experience in or exposure to data collection and analysis 
  • Expertise with Excel, SPSS, Access, or other data analysis software 
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team 
  • Ability to plan the projects ahead, foresee challenges and address them timely. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Self-starter with a deadline-oriented mindset
  • Able to complete projects independently and meet required deadlines 
  • Valid Driver’s license with a good driving record


Supervised by: Chief Operations Officer
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
Salary range: $82,400 to $85,000
