Maintenance Stockroom Planner/Scheduler
Location: Troy, OH
Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Reports To: Department Manager or Engineer/Dept. Manager
Summary of Position
Responsible for planning, requisitioning, receiving, issuing, and maintaining inventory of all materials, parts, and tools required for maintenance operations. This role combines stockroom management with maintenance planning and scheduling to ensure workforce productivity, work quality, and operational efficiency. The position requires proactive coordination of parts, machine time, and labor resources, as well as accurate record keeping and compliance with safety, quality, and production standards.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
Maintain proper levels of materials, parts, and tools; order, receive, and issue as needed.
Accurately record all stockroom transactions and maintain computer inventory records.
Review and screen maintenance work orders for clarity, priority, and feasibility.
Plan and schedule maintenance work, coordinating with operations and maintenance supervisors.
Verify availability of parts, materials, and special tools prior to scheduling jobs.
Participate in plant scheduling meetings and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures.
Assist in inventory preparation and periodic analysis of maintenance costs.
Serve as the principal contact between maintenance and plant departments, ensuring prompt and efficient service.
Maintain good housekeeping and promote energy conservation and noise reduction.
Perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) duties and other assigned tasks.
Work overtime as needed.
Regular, dependable attendance required.
Additional Responsibilities

Maintain necessary records/files and prepare accurate control reports.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school background preferred.
Manufacturing-related and job-specific experience preferred.
Forklift Operation Certificate and other relevant equipment licenses (e.g., Man-lift, Burden Carrier).
Skills & Talents
Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle interruptions.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficient in computer systems (e.g. Oracle, Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maintenance instructions, and safety documents.
Mechanical and electrical aptitude; knowledge of hand tools, measurement devices.

Safety and quality awareness; attention to detail and accuracy.
Physical Skills & Requirements
Stand and walk continuously; reach, stoop, kneel, or squat as needed.
Lift up to 100 lbs. at waist level and up to 50 lbs. at shoulder level occasionally.
Push or pull with up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally.
Perform repetitive tasks for extended periods (up to 12 hours per day).
Use of close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Ability to work in environments with noise, high temperatures, humidity, and moving equipment.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
