Summary
Position is responsible for supporting the Inpatient Medical Surgical Managers. Includes but not limited to organizing staff meetings, typing minutes, inputting data, updating policy/procedures, serving as department document controller, preparing payroll for approvals, and other general administrative duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, verbal and written – must be able to professionally
interact with members of the hospital's management team, including senior
leadership - Provide Education Support for the department
- Ability to prioritize and organize work efficiently
- Exercise discretion, judgment, initiative, and problem-solving ability
- Work independently
- Proficiently operate various office equipment, including telephone, computer, printer/copier
use, navigate and search electronic medical records, in order to efficiently
complete tasks managed by this position.
Requirements
- Advanced computer skills – Experience with MIDAS and Microsoft Office are a plus, particularly
Excel - Minimum requirement, high school diploma or GED
- Associate's degree in related field preferred
- Working in a healthcare setting required.
- LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, and as such, may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards.
