Duties/Responsibilities:

• Daily management of purchase orders and deliveries to meet forecasted production demand.
• Support aftersales by managing purchase orders and inventory levels to support customer demand for service components. 
• Work directly with suppliers to negotiate price, availability, and delivery schedule.
• Attend production meetings and provide updates on PO due dates if needed.
• Responsible for maintaining all data with regards to purchase orders, acknowledgements, and vendor/material records.      
• Responsible for quoting new and changing components with suppliers. 
• Create, review, and execute scheduled and ad-hoc reporting. 
• Purchase supplies and reviews requisitions to support business needs. 
• Serve as liaison between supplier and internal departments to resolve problems along with issues as necessary. 
• Perform all other related duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) or related software.
• Efficient typing skills, with emphasis on accuracy and legal aspects of purchasing.
• Ability to compile information and make decisions.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency and meet fluctuating deadlines. 
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.  

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management.
• 2-3 years previous experience in purchasing preferred. 
• Prior experience purchasing within an ERP required, SAP preferred. 

Physical Requirements:

• Sit at a desk while working on a computer for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. 

Travel:

• No travel is expected for this position.
