Introduction
The Residential Registered Nurse / MAP Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant healthcare services across the Residential Department at CRC. This position provides oversight in:

Healthcare quality assurance

Case management

Clinical consultation
This role serves as a key resource for staff, families, and individuals supported by the organization and is responsible for:

Coordinating Medication Administration Program (MAP) training and compliance
-
Managing MOR documentation
-
Ensuring regulatory adherence according to DDS and DPH standards
The position drives continuous quality improvement by auditing nursing practices, supporting staff development, and ensuring medical policies align with best practices and state/federal requirements. Requires clinical expertise, leadership, and a collaborative approach to foster teamwork and accountability.

Quality Assurance

Develop, interpret, and ensure consistent application of policies and procedures related to medical/nursing record keeping

Ensure compliance with state and federal requirements
-
Conduct audits of healthcare records and develop documentation tools
-
Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop individualized health plans
-
Monitor implementation of health plans through auditing and documentation
-
Compile compliance data to identify trends and areas for improvement
-
Conduct and follow up on interdisciplinary HealthCare Oversight Committee meetings
Nursing Consultation, Case Management & Coordination
-
Provide consultation to program management, staff, individuals, and families
-
Manage complex or acute healthcare cases, including attending medical appointments and case conferences as needed
-
Perform on-site assessments or treatments
-
Assess individuals’ ability to self-medicate
-
Maintain relationships with healthcare providers and understand insurance/Medicare/Medicaid regulations
Health Care Training
-
Provide MAP certification training and exam preparation
-
Conduct refresher courses and maintain MAP documentation
-
Ensure facilities maintain DPH certification for medication administration
-
Stay current on DDS, DPH, and MAP regulations
-
Deliver training on topics such as infectious disease management, epilepsy management, and diet modifications
-
Assist with staff orientation and ongoing training in healthcare practices
-
Provide emergency first aid and accompany individuals to medical facilities if needed
-
Coordinate healthcare equipment and supplies
MAP Coordination
-
Oversee MAP trainings and procedures ensuring compliance with regulations
-
Monitor MOR reporting and required retraining according to agency policies
-
Facilitate additional medical trainings as assigned

Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; MAP teaching certification preferred within six months
-
Current RN licensure in Massachusetts
-
Minimum of 2 years RN experience in healthcare or school settings
-
Experience with developmentally disabled individuals, nursing homes, or DDS/DPH regulations preferred
-
Completion of all state and agency-mandated trainings
-
Knowledge of principles of Normalization and Community Inclusion
-
Ability to authorize CORI and other background checks
-
Ability to perform essential job duties with reasonable accommodations if needed

Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and reliable transportation
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
