Description

  1. position Overview

This position facilitates the origination, credit analysis, underwriting, and ongoing administration of loans. The credit analyst will work closely as a team with borrowers, department managers, and the department assistant. 

 

  1. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  2. Collect credit information, credit reports, financial statements, tax returns, etc.
  3. Reconcile financial information.
  4. Routinely monitor loan file maintenance, covenant compliance, and security documentation both online and in the hard files
  5. Obtain necessary documentation (flood determination, UCC searches and registry searches, legal documentation) and maintaining online and hard files.
  6. Review and complete loan applications, including credit analysis, summaries, payment recommendations, and submission for approval to authorized person(s).
  7. Scanning all information that is received electronically in the appropriate share drive folder and physical file.  Any information not received electronically should be scanned and saved in the share drive as well as physical file.
  8. Accurately input data to prepare reports, perform ratio analysis, and analyze credit risk using financial software.
  9. Assist with departmental duties, training and audits as requested or required.
  10. Prepare loan documentation
  11. Prepare miscellaneous reports as needed.
  12. Maintain compliance with requirements of all federal and state regulations, credit union policies and procedures, and other compliance obligations.
  13. Participate in required meetings and training, including satisfactory completion of all basic Credit Union required BAI training in a timely manner, as well as BSA, OFAC, and Customer Identification regulations. Follow all regulation policies and procedures.
  14. Become and serve as an Oregon Notary Public.
  15. Demonstrate leadership skills and foster an environment supportive of the Credit Union’s values, accomplishments, mission and vision.
  16. Represent the Credit Union with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
  17. Treat others in a respectful and professional manner in all forms of communication.
  18. Assist in identifying and resolving issues quickly and accurately and professionally
  19. Actively contribute and support the Credit Union, Management, Department, and Member goals in a positive and professional manner.
  20. Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. Travel to other branches as needed. Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  21. Perform other duties as assigned.

Reports To: SVP Chief Credit Officer

Work areas are generally indoors and in a climate-controlled environment with light background noise.  Field work is limited but does occur, generally in milder weather conditions.

Lifting/Carrying: Must be able to lift, move, and transport files and supplies.

Stooping/Kneeling: Must be able to access files and supplies in low cabinets/shelves.

Reaching/Handling: Must be able to input information into computer, retrieve and handle appropriate paperwork, equipment, and supplies.

  1. Education and Experience
  2. Bachelor’s/Associates degree in accounting or finance preferred (but not required), or other relevant work experience.
  3. Must be bondable.
