POSITION SUMMARY:

The YMCA of Southern Nevada is looking for a personal trainer and fitness floor supervisor. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming and engaging environment for our members. You will ensure all fitness areas are safe and spotless, while actively connecting with members to support their goals and demonstrate proper, safe equipment use. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises the Health and Wellness Center by being attentive to all participants to protect their safety at all times.
  • Knows and enforces facility rules and requires suitable conduct from participants at all times.
  • Demonstrates safe and effective use of all Center equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
  • Conducts individual and group member orientations within the allotted time frames and in accordance with guidelines presented.
  • Clears area of safety hazards. Set up, put away all equipment and materials needed and reports any problems or needs to Health and Wellness Director
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

ABUSE RISK MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS

  • Adhere to policies related to boundaries with children.
  • Attend required abuse risk management training.
  • Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.
  • Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.
  • Adhere to job specific abuse risk management responsibilities.

    Qualifications


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Personal Training Certificate required.
    • American Red Cross CPR/ First Aid for Professional Rescuers Certification within 30 days of hire.
    • Minimum age of 18.
