Title: Real Estate and Facilities Project Manager
Reports To: Head of Real Estate and Facilities / Corporate Services
Position Summary
The Real Estate and Facilities Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering real estate and facility-related projects across the organization. This includes managing office moves, space planning, renovations, construction, lease transitions, vendor management, and operational improvements. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while maintaining a safe, productive, and professional work environment that aligns with company standards and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead and execute real estate and facilities projects from initiation through completion, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Space Planning & Workplace Strategy: Support strategic space planning, workplace optimization, and redesign projects to meet business requirements and employee experience goals.
- Vendor Management: Oversee selection, contract negotiation, and performance of external vendors, contractors, and service providers. Ensure compliance with service level agreements and quality standards.
- Real Estate Oversight: Assist with lease negotiations, renewals, and transitions. Partner with legal and finance teams on real estate-related matters.
- Facilities Operations Support: Collaborate with Facilities and Corporate Services teams to ensure seamless integration of project outcomes into day-to-day operations.
- Budget & Reporting: Develop and track project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on progress, risks, and milestones.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all projects adhere to applicable building codes, safety regulations, corporate policies, and sustainability objectives.
- Change Management: Partner with HR, IT, and business units to support communication and transition plans for employees impacted by facilities projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Real Estate, Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree a plus).
- 5–7 years of experience in project management within corporate real estate, facilities, or construction.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience managing vendor relationships, budgets, and contracts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet), and CAD or space planning tools a plus.
