Recreation Assistant - Rec Zone bei Goochland County, VA

About the Department

The Department of Goochland County Parks and Recreation is seeking part-time seasonal Recreation Lead to assist the Recreation Coordinator and implementation of School Year RECzone Program 2025-2026. Schedule for this position is 2:00-6:15PM, Monday through Friday, 5 days a week. This is a 20 -25 hours per week position with no benefits ending late-May.

Position Duties

• 16 or older
• Must have a valid drivers license
• Provides assistance to Recreation Coordinator in direct program implementation. 
• Lead day to day activities.
• Reports all issues to Recreation Coordinator.
• Discusses all child disciplinary to parents and Recreation Coordinator.
• Supervise RECZone Aides during Programs
• Helps monitor child during program
• Assist in cleaning before, during, and after program.
• Other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, the ability to maintain effective working relationships and the ability to provide excellent customer service. Applicants should be comfortable working with the public.
