Job Description:
Liberty High School is seeking a highly organized and proactive Student Services Secretary. The successful candidate ensures exceptional service to students, families, and staff. This role serves as the first point of contact for inquiries related to student records, attendance, scheduling, counseling, and general student support services. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality while working in a fast-paced, student-centered environment. This full-time, in-person position runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in a collaborative, technology-forward office that utilizes Google Workspace for daily operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform secretarial functions for students (last names Ro-Z)
- Process registration/withdrawals throughout the school year (last names Ro-Z)
- Assist with NAVIANCE (college and career readiness software) that supports NCAA for eligible students
- Assist Guidance Counselors with College Visits and Spring College Fair
- Reconcile BAVTS enrollment, which impacts State funding
- Prepare PIMS (Pennsylvania Information Management System) reports in conjunction with BASD Child Accounting Department requirements/direction
- Compile/develop with great accuracy the list of graduating seniors, scholarship/awards information that will be read at graduation
- Assist with LHS graduation: set up transportation, take ticket requests from parents, and other requirements as needed
- Perform clerical duties to support the Guidance Counselors and Student Services Center (including truancy referrals)
- Assist with Freshman Orientation as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications: - Proficient in technology, including:
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Google Suite (Mail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- SmartPass and Synergy
- Ability to interact professionally with district personnel, students, parents, and outside agencies
- Service-oriented, positive demeanor, especially under pressure
- Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills and strong commitment to follow-through
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
New Employee Rate: $27.04 per hour
