The Business Development Representative at Trio Workforce Solutions is an individual contributor responsible for generating new business opportunities within the healthcare staffing industry. This role focuses on identifying, qualifying, and nurturing leads to create a consistent pipeline of prospective clients for the outside sales team. The BDR works closely with the Marketing and Business Development teams to align outreach efforts with strategic growth goals and expand Trio WFS’ market presence across targeted healthcare segments. 

What you'll do:

Prospecting & Lead Generation 

  • Research, identify, and engage new healthcare clients through outbound email, phone, and social media campaigns. 

  • Leverage HubSpot CRM to manage all outreach activity, track lead interactions, and maintain accurate pipeline data. 

  • Build and maintain a targeted list of potential clients aligned to Trio WFS service offerings and growth markets. 

 

Lead Qualification & Pipeline Development 

  • Qualify leads based on defined criteria (organization size, staffing volume, purchasing authority, and timing). 

  • Conduct discovery calls to assess potential client needs, challenges, and decision-making processes. 

  • Schedule and coordinate a minimum of 30 qualified prospect meetings per quarter with prospective healthcare clients. 

 

Collaboration & Campaign Execution 

  • Partner with the Marketing team to execute integrated sales campaigns (email, social, and outbound calling). 

  • Provide feedback to marketing and operations on lead quality, competitive trends, and message effectiveness. 

 

Sales Enablement & Metrics 

  • Achieve and exceed performance metrics tied to appointments set, qualified pipeline growth, and closed opportunities. 

  • Maintain up-to-date activity reporting and ensure CRM hygiene in HubSpot. 

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of sales playbooks and outreach strategies based on data-driven insights. 

 

Client Experience & Brand Representation 

  • Represent Trio Workforce Solutions professionally and credibly within the healthcare industry. 

  • Exhibit consultative selling techniques and a deep understanding of Trio Workforce Solutions value proposition. 

  • Foster a positive experience that aligns with Trio Workforce Solutions culture of integrity, partnership, and excellence. 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered. 

Experience: 

  • 2–5 years of experience in business development, inside sales, or lead generation (preferably within healthcare staffing or professional services). 

  • Demonstrated success in achieving measurable sales goals or quota-based performance metrics. 

  • Experience using CRM systems (HubSpot strongly preferred) to manage lead activity and reporting. 

 

Skills and Competencies: 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to tailor messaging to healthcare decision-makers. 

  • Proficiency in outbound sales activities, including cold calling, social selling, and email prospecting. 

  • Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities. 

  • Data-driven mindset with basic understanding of pipeline metrics and forecasting. 

  • Self-motivated, resilient, and results-oriented with a growth mindset. 

  • Team player with a collaborative spirit and a commitment to ethical sales practices. 

 

Tools & Systems: 

  • HubSpot CRM (required) 

  • Microsoft Office / Google Workspace 

  • Virtual communication tools (Zoom, Teams, etc.) 

This position will be a base salary plus incentive compensation, which would allow for on-target earnings to be between $100,000 - $125,000. The final compensation offered will be determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
