Job Description
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex vehicle electrical and electronic issues including harness faults, shorts, parasitic draws, grounding issues, and software mismatches.
- Perform reprogramming and flashing of vehicle control modules.
- Support wiring, instrumentation, and integration of data acquisition and measurement systems.
- Conduct vehicle testing, development, and validation activities for electrical and control systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to execute test plans, implement design changes, and document findings.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities with minimal supervision while maintaining high quality and accuracy.
- Mentor and assist other garage technicians as needed to ensure project success.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, test results, and issue resolutions.
- Operate and maintain diagnostic and data logging tools such as MDI, Vector tools, and Oscilloscopes.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards during all vehicle and component operations.
- Strong technical background in vehicle electronics, CAN/LIN networks, and electrical architecture.
- Proficiency with tools and systems such as NeoVi Fire 2, CANalyzer, MDI, Oscilloscope, and data loggers.
- Understanding of Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) and the Global Subsystem Development Process.
- Ability to interpret and execute electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system architecture documentation.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Capable of working under vehicles, supporting instrumented builds, and verifying repair/test completion.
- Competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and accountability for results.
- Advanced proficiency in diagnosing and resolving complex electrical or software-related vehicle issues.
- Experience across multiple propulsion types including ICE, EV, and hybrid systems.
- Familiarity with calibration tools, software flashing procedures, and vehicle instrumentation installation.
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring peers and driving process improvements.
- Understanding of embedded control systems, ECUs, and module communication protocols.
- Prior support of vehicle validation or motorsports/racing development programs.
- ASE or equivalent technical certifications and/or Electrical Safety High Voltage (Level 2) certification.
- Proven ability to manage ambiguity, work independently, and deliver results in dynamic development environments
