Oral Arts is a full-service family owned and operated dental laboratory. We manufacture dental prostheses, such as crowns, bridges, implants, dentures, partials, orthodontic appliances, etc. and are looking to fill the role of Assistant Lab Manager.

Description of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Distribute customer cases to appropriate Supervisors/Technicians based on technician’s knowledge, skills, and demonstrable abilities
- Coordinate the workflow of customer cases within each department from initial setup to completion of appliance
- Ensure technicians are being supervised in the fabrication processes of dental appliances
- Review and evaluate customer cases and production schedules to ensure timely completion of work
- Ensure inspection of customer cases at key stages in the fabrication process to ensure specifications and standards are met
- Fabricate, alter or repair dental appliances according to customer’s instructions on the prescription form when need arises in the department.
- Responsible for evaluating performance of technicians
- Handle customer complaints, communicate case alternatives with Site GM for customers. Take responsibility for specific appliance sales and may be required to demonstrate appliances/techniques in dental offices and at meetings
- Ensure that proper maintenance and safety procedures are followed by technicians
- Maintain a neat and clean department workspace to prevent workplace damage and minimize potential for injury
- Implement and oversee the digital workflow for removable prosthetics, integrating scanning, design, and manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with team members to ensure successful adoption, training, and continuous improvement of digital removable operations.

Required experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalency required
- Minimum of 10 years of directly related experience in the dental laboratory
- Must have working knowledge of desktop applications including Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Must be able to manage people, processes, and technology
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks
- Must be able to work well in a team environment, as well as an individual work environment
