Position Overview:

As Food & Beverage Manager, you’ll oversee all food and beverage operations at the property, including Reflections, our signature restaurant; in-room dining; and banquet/event services. You’ll lead a team focused on service excellence, operational efficiency, and delivering memorable culinary experiences that reflect the energy and style of Assembly Row.

Operating Hours:

  • Mon–Thu: 6:30 AM–10:30 AM | 5:00 PM–11:00 PM
  • Fri: 6:30 AM–10:30 AM | 5:00 PM–11:30 PM
  • Sat: 7:00 AM–12:00 PM | 5:00 PM–11:30 PM
  • Sun: 7:00 AM–12:00 PM | 5:00 PM–11:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all day-to-day food and beverage operations, including Reflections restaurant, room service, and banquet/event spaces.
  • Provide on-the-floor leadership and coaching to team members, ensuring Colwen Hotels and brand service standards are consistently met.
  • Partner with the Banquet Manager and culinary team to execute flawless meetings, events, and group dining experiences.
  • Participate in weekly BEO/resume meetings and collaborate with Sales and Events teams on planning and execution.
  • Recruit, train, and retain a talented and engaged front-of-house team.
  • Create staff schedules and manage labor in accordance with forecasted demand and budget goals.
  • Maintain proper inventory, purchasing, and cost controls across all F&B outlets.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and beverage team to develop seasonal menus and beverage programs.
  • Drive guest satisfaction through personalized service, consistency, and attention to detail.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable food safety, sanitation, and alcohol regulations.
  • Monitor operational metrics including guest feedback, sales, and cost of goods sold.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and regular departmental meetings to promote team communication.
  • Lead initiatives for associate engagement, recognition, and professional development.
  • Stay current on trends in food, beverage, and hospitality to keep offerings innovative and competitive.
  • Perform other duties and leadership functions as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Food & Beverage Manager or Assistant Manager (hotel experience preferred)
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, train, and manage teams
  • Experience in both restaurant and banquet/event service environments
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • TIPS and ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • Financial acumen and experience with F&B cost control and P&L analysis
  • Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
