Packer Fastener currently has an exciting opportunity to join our team as an IT Support Administrator in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The IT Support Administrator is responsible for providing higher-level technical support in circumstances that are beyond the expertise of the IT Support Specialist. The IT Support Administrator will also assist with basic system administration tasks, including user management, system updates, and hardware/software maintenance. This individual will work closely with the IT Manager to ensure the network and system infrastructure is properly maintained and secure and assist with deploying and managing IT solutions across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Apply knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems.
- Troubleshoot and support major computer networks. Perform system backups and recovery.
- Coordinate and assign work projects such as converting new computer hardware or software.
- Install and troubleshoot networking equipment.
- Arrange service by software or hardware vendors to repair or replace defective products.
- Evaluate expanding or enhanced computer operations; make recommendations for improvement and upgrades to hardware and software to manage workload and system requirements.
- Provide technical support by identifying, investigating, and resolving users’ problems with computer software and hardware.
- Maintain a troubleshooting tracking log ensuring timely resolution of problems. Also responsible for documentation for system maintenance and development.
- Document solutions to problems and recommend changes to system configurations to prevent recurrences.
- Provide feedback on problematic trends and patterns in technical support.
- Install software and software updates; resolve hardware and software problems, contact equipment and service vendors where needed; perform basic PC setup and installation.
- Collaborate with other team members to research and resolve problems.
- Maintain and manage company confidentiality and security of information systems.

Qualifications
Job Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in information technology, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in customer technical support role required.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Admin Portal, Entra, Intune and mobile device management required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent understanding of computer hardware and software systems.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to explain technical issues to team members and customers.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn an array of computer hardware and software.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Must be able to obtain coverage through the company’s auto insurance carrier according to the Company Driver Safety Policy.
