Please Note- This position is hybrid, with 2-3 days per week in the Madison, WI office.
What You’ll Do:
- Support project and internal infrastructure to meet client requirements and staff needs.
- Support continuous integration and deployment.
- Investigate and resolve issues with project and internal infrastructure.
- Occasionally support DevOps Analysts to configure and monitor back-ups for on-site infrastructure.
- Respond to infrastructure issues during on-call rotations.
- Provide maintenance and support of networks and firewalls.
- Collaborate with software engineering team and project teams to develop CI/CD systems, develops automation, manages code releases and software deployments.
- Automate and streamline DevOps operations and processes.
- Build and maintain tools for development, deployment, monitoring, and operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments.
- Identify, recommend, and implement repeatable DevOps best practices
- Participate in on-call rotation for production support.
- Continuously strive to improve and optimize systems’ performance.
- Remain up to date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps tools and methodologies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and project delivery.
- Monitor and manage networks, firewalls, and ensures secure data transmissions.
- Utilize containerization technologies for efficient deployment and scaling of applications.
- Work with Azure and AWS cloud platforms to optimize infrastructure and services.

What You’ll Bring:
- Three to five years’ experience in DevOps role with a focus on automation, continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), and infrastructure as code.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related discipline; may be substituted with equivalent number of years additional experience.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (ex/Docker)
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (ex/Kubernetes)
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Ability to communicate across a wide variety of audiences effectively and with a customer facing demeaner.
- Practical experience in Active Directory management and Windows system administration. This includes user management, group policy, and troubleshooting Windows environments.
- Self-motivated to learn new technologies and principles.
- Possession of or willingness to obtain at least one of the following certifications:
- AZ-104
- AZ-400
- AWS DevOps Engineer
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing PC hardware and network infrastructure.
Highly Preferred:
- Three to five years of experience with desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems and network connectivity.
- Experience in Linux system administration, including the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux servers.
- Familiarity with C#.Net or object-oriented programming.
