Position Summary
The Business Analyst serves as a critical liaison between business users and technology teams, facilitating clear and effective communication to support the organization’s strategic objectives. This role is focused on driving continuous exploration and analysis of business performance, enabling data-driven decision-making and informed business planning. By working closely with stakeholders, the Business Analyst ensures that business requirements are accurately identified, documented, and prioritized for projects involving end user experience (collaboration tools, unified communication), cloud solutions, AI integration, and workflow automations. This role is based in our New York City office full-time.Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support IT operations and to drive process efficiencies, automations, AI integration, and end user experience
- Requirements Gathering: Analyze existing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement, ensuring that solutions are designed to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Work with technical teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications, ensuring alignment with new Network, new End User Equipment, Cloud and AI capabilities
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and project teams, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle
- Conduct data analysis to support decision-making, including identifying cross functional trends, patterns, and insights that can inform project direction
- Assist in developing change management strategies and training materials to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and processes
- Collaborate across firm to develop test plans and validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements and quality standards
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of business requirements, process flows, and project deliverables to support knowledge sharing and future reference
- Help establish and track key performance metrics to measure project success and identify areas for ongoing improvement
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 4 Years experience Business Analyst in an IT environment, technical writing or documentation roles required
- Minimum 2 Years of Business writing skills which should include business requirements documents, system requirements documents, use-case specifications and functional specifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in supporting or coordinating multiple projects or programs preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to take on tasks as needed to support the team and business.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to write SQL queries or create sophisticated Excel macros & pivot tables
- Strong financial industry experience, particularly in asset management or investments
- Proficiency in tools like SQL, Excel, and workflow documentation software
- Proven interpersonal, data analysis, diplomatic, management and prioritization skills
