Statement of the Position:
NSM is seeking an experienced Senior Automation and AI Developer to join our team dedicated to improving patient communication and interaction through cutting-edge technology. This role is for a hands-on business partner, product SME, and technical leader who will drive the development and maintenance of our automated patient engagement systems, utilizing conversational AI and other advanced platforms. The ideal candidate has expertise in developing from scratch, integrating systems, and managing a high volume of campaigns.

Essential Functions:
- Patient Engagement Platform Development (Ushur):
- Serve as the business liaison, process SME, and technical lead for all development and integration projects involving the product suite platform.
- Architect, implement, and maintain complex integrations between Ushur and our internal backend systems to ensure seamless data flow and robust functionality.
- Lead the development and launch of 10–12 new patient-facing campaigns annually, defining scope, gathering requirements, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Oversee the ongoing maintenance and optimization of 25–30 existing campaigns, troubleshooting issues and implementing improvements to enhance patient experience and engagement.
- RPA Development
- Work with the business teams to develop, test, and maintain automated solutions using leading RPA tools.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand existing workflows and help translate business requirements into technical specifications for automation.
- Provide support by monitoring bot performance and troubleshooting existing automation scripts to resolve issues promptly.
- Conversational AI Implementation:
- Serve as the business liaison, process SME, and technical lead for all development and integration projects involving AI integration
- Design, develop, and implement AI voicebots and chatbots for patient interaction from the ground up, with a strong focus on initial system setup and deployment.
- Utilize experience with conversational AI platforms to build, test, and deploy natural language processing (NLP) models and dialogue flows.
- Analyze patient interaction data to continuously refine and improve the performance and effectiveness of AI bots.
- General Software Development & AI Integration:
- Leverage AI tools to automate and improve the documentation of code and applications, maintaining high standards of clarity and accuracy.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure the quality, scalability, and security of all solutions.
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Stay current with emerging technologies in AI, conversational UI, and the health tech industry to drive continuous innovation.
- Travel:
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for on-site projects, training, or conferences.

Required Education, Experience & Competencies:
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior Developer or in a similar advanced technical role.
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, and deploying integrations between third-party systems and internal platforms.
- Proven experience working with Ushur or a similar enterprise-level patient communication or process automation platform.
- Experience with Python, JavaScript (Node.js), or other relevant back-end programming languages.
- Strong background in API development and integration (RESTful, GraphQL).
- Solid working knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL, or both).
- Proficiency with version control systems.
Desired Skills:
- Direct experience setting up, configuring, and developing on conversational AI platform with integration to phone systems via SIP
- Experience with other conversational AI frameworks or libraries.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
