The role you’ll contribute:
The Manager of Clinical Risk Management & Accreditation reports to the Director for the Office of Collaborative Improvement. The Manager of Clinical Risk Management & Accreditation takes a leadership role in investigating reports of any serious event involving actual or potential injury to patients or visitors to assess liability and probability of legal action. This professional conducts proactive and reactive safety analyses, including root cause analysis and failure mode and effect analysis to develop a process and plan for change that can be constantly monitored and evaluated for effectiveness. The Manager of Clinical Risk Management & Accreditation works collaboratively with all department leaders to ensure continuous readiness and compliance with all accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies, across the organization. This includes Joint Commission standards and CMS Conditions of Participation.

- Oversees the Risk Management and loss control/prevention program.
- Investigates serious events involving injury to patients or visitors.
- Conducts safety analyses and reports claims.
- Coordinates with Claims Management and participates in claim settlements.
- Collaborates on the Loss Control Plan and assists with insurance renewals.
The expertise and experience you’ll need to succeed:
- Masters of Science in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Policy, or a related field Required
3+ years of experience in one or more of the following fields: patient care, public policy, health care administration, business administration, quality improvement, safety systems, legal support or insurance claims investigation and settlement required Preferred:
- 3+ years of healthcare accreditation or risk management experience
People management experience - Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM)
- CPHQ, CPHRM certifications
Strong Microsoft excel skills
