POSITION SUMMARY:

Under theprimary direction of the Assistant Vice President for Marketing andCommunications for Enrollment Management,  the Assistant Director, Enrollment Communications will create, maintain andexecute an annual communication and content plan that incorporates multiplechannels (10+), track progress and report results; revise as necessarythroughout cycle; ensure plan execution is on time, on strategy, assure qualitystandards and meets goals.

DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:

As part of theEMG Marketing and Communications team, work closely with the AVP EM Marketingand Communications and Director of Enrollment Marketing and Communications tocreate and maintain an annual communication and content plan that incorporatesall internal and external channels (10+). 

Responsibilitiesinclude: communication plan execution; ensure plan execution is on time and onstrategy, assure quality standards and meets goals. Develop and maintaincentralized communications calendar, integrating internal and vendor plans;schedule and deliver curated content to 10+ content channels for marketingcommunication campaigns. Optimize content delivery strategies; tailor contentto outlet platform and audience. Project management for multi-year,multi-channel plans. 

Monitors analytics and effectiveness; develop workflow, process and campaign reports. Distributeupdates, develop reports and presentations. Assist with communicationsdevelopment and proofreading when needed.

Serves as a primary or secondarypoint of contact with internal and external partners; builds strongrelationships with partners, stakeholders and marcom team; collaborate withinternal colleagues, particularly enrollment operations and student services,Division of Marketing and Communications, and other University departments.Facilitatesprint production coordination and interface for direct mail projects.

Communications Lead for SlateDeliver CRM, including coordinating email, SMS and print messaging and timingwith communications technology support colleagues; maintain best practices andcurrent knowledge of Slate Deliver and email marketing.

Maintains library of assets, brand messagingand related deadline, CTA and other recruitment communication messaging andproof points based on audience, cycle; updates annually, distributes.

Participates inprofessional development and performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Participates in large admissions recruitment events - mandatory (i.e, DUQ Days,etc.)

Allocatesexpenses in Chrome River for University procurement card.

Completes otherduties as assigned.



REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree marketing, communications, multiplatform journalism, businessor liberal arts from an accredited institution.

Minimum of 1-2 years ofrelevant communication experience, preferably in digital content management.

Note:The logistics, organization, execution and coordination of marcom projects cansubstitute for specific bachelor’s degree majors.

Preferredqualifications:

Experience in digital content management and managing projects preferred.

Alternately, the successful candidate may possess any equivalent combination ofexperience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilitiesrequired to perform the essential job functions. This includes, but is notlimited to, the following:
Experienceusing content management and project management tools;

CMR experiencepreferred;

Extremeattention to detail and accuracy;

Entrepreneurialmindset to create new processes, refine and optimize;

Demonstrated planning, analytical and organizational skills to accommodatemultiple priorities with the ability to prioritize work;

Strongcross-functional team management and relationship building skills;

Proactive, plan-ahead-thinkingin long-term and short-term time frames;

Exceptionalleadership, customer service, interpersonal, and oral and written communicationskills;

Strongtechnology skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;

Ability towork with diverse populations and sensitivity to the need of each individual tobe treated with dignity and respect as it relates to the Mission of the Universityspecifically;

Ability towork additional hours and weekends during peak recruitment periods.
