The Manager of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) will lead the execution and optimization of SEO initiatives to drive traffic, visibility, and revenue growth across Signet Jewelers’ digital platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of both technical SEO and content strategies, along with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments. The Manager will oversee the work of an external SEO agency and partner closely with internal stakeholders—including development, content, and brand teams—to implement SEO best practices that support business goals.

Strategy

Develop and execute a best-in-class SEO strategy aligned with Signet Jewelers’ overall digital objectives. Identify opportunities for organic growth through technical audits, content development, and competitive analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-banner teams (Content, UX, Development, Analytics) to integrate SEO goals into broader marketing and business priorities. Stay current with industry trends and search algorithm updates, proactively adjusting strategies to maintain competitive advantage. Regularly report on SEO performance, insights, and actionable recommendations to key stakeholders.

Execution & Optimization

Conduct technical SEO audits and manage the implementation of optimizations such as site structure enhancements, crawlability improvements, and page speed upgrades. Oversee keyword research, on-page SEO efforts, and content recommendations to improve search rankings and user engagement. Collaborate with content and brand teams to ensure SEO alignment and identify opportunities for high-impact content creation. Leverage tools like Google Search Console, SEMRush, and BrightEdge to track performance, resolve issues, and refine strategy. Define and monitor KPIs to evaluate the impact of SEO efforts on organic traffic, conversions, and ROI.

Project & Partner Management

Serve as the day-to-day lead for Signet’s external SEO agency, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, deliverable timelines, and performance expectations. Collaborate closely with internal technical teams, brand partners, and digital stakeholders to drive implementation of SEO initiatives. Facilitate effective communication and coordination across teams to ensure progress and transparency on SEO projects.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field required
  • 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience, including strategy development, technical SEO, and implementation
  • Proficient in using SEO tools such as Google Search Console, SEMRush, BrightEdge, and Screaming Frog
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data reporting using Excel, Google Analytics, or similar platforms
  • Technical understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with various CMS platforms
  • Expertise in keyword research, on-page optimization, and content marketing best practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to executive stakeholders
  • Preferred: Experience with Adobe Analytics, paid and organic search integration, and e-commerce/retail industry knowledge
