Position Summary:

The Associate Director of Financial Planning & Analysis will be responsible for supporting the Clinical Operations, Data Management and Biostatistics organizations with short-range and long-range planning and forecasting, annual budgets and quarterly budget updates.  This position will also evaluate data from various sources and prepare month-end accounting entries to support accruals.  This position will report to the Executive Director of FP&A.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support operational business partners in Clinical Operations organization with annual budget, long range planning and quarterly forecast updates
  • Partner with line managers to align forecast with project and development timelines
  • Consolidate and reconcile actual results for Clinical Operations and perform analysis vs. current and annual plans.
  • Develop, build and maintain expense tracking models
  • Collaboratively work with accounting group to ensure proper expense recognition and overall compliance with internal controls (direct support of quarterly audits)
  • Support department and program team’s strategic decisions through accurate and timely reporting and ad hoc projects and analysis
  • Provide insightful analytics to highlight risks and opportunities
  • Support the teams in their contract review and negotiations
  • Support the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance program for the business unit by analyzing financial performance against forecasts and providing detailed commentary on underlying variance drivers in support of monthly and quarterly accounting close process

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in finance or accounting required
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience, preferably in a public BioPharma company environment
  • Ability to work in an exciting, fast-paced environment
  • Impeccable communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Sophisticated user of MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with financial planning tools such as Adaptive Insights is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication/customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organize work to meet deadlines
  • High level of integrity and trustworthy

Zenas is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary pay range for this role is $151,200 to $189,000.. Actual compensation packages will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to depth of experience, education, skillset, overall performance and/or location.

Zenas believes in providing a competitive compensation and benefits package to all employees. Our base salary is just one component of Zenas’ competitive total rewards strategy that also includes annual performance bonus, equity, full range of benefits and other incentive compensation plans.
