Who You Are:
The Software Architect is a visionary problem-solver with a passion for designing robust, scalable, and high-performance software systems. With a deep understanding of software architecture principles, you are adept at making high-level design decisions and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. You excel at breaking down complex problems into manageable components and are skilled in communicating technical concepts to both developers and non-technical stakeholders.
As a Consultant, you’ll contribute to client engagements by delivering insights, building deliverables, and leading workstreams. You’ll be expected to bring strong analytical thinking, and a proactive mindset to solve client problems and drive transformation.
Role and Responsibilities:
You may work on various projects throughout your career with Excelacom. The roles and responsibilities noted below pertain to the specific role listed above.
Translate client’s user requirements into design for new software or extensive software revisions of their internal Digital Ops software that manages their SpectrumEnterprise.net platform for business customer review of their Internet Fiber services, Managed WiFi, Voice trunking, Managed Network Edge, and Billing views.
Decompose user requirements and identify value areas and structure and implement technology updates to the platform for the client.
Creates high-level architectural specifications, while ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems and platforms.
Provides expertise on cross-application implications.
Approves business requirements, estimation, functional specifications, testing strategy and other activities to ensure architectural alignment.
Work closely with client product team to interpret user requirements to apply architecture standards and guidelines.
Manage and Deliver technology projects including application development, integration, data migration, testing, etc. for IT organizations.
Meet with client staff on a daily basis to understand key requirements, issues with how they operate today and identify opportunities for improvement in their operations and technology landscape.
Prior enterprise software experience in Telecommunications, Media, or Cable is a requirement
Support product roadmap
Work closely with clients to identify process improvements
Analyze business challenges and recommend technology-driven solutions
Support system development, integration, and testing activities
Develop presentations, deliverables, and implementation plans
Assist with proposals and business development efforts
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience years’ experience designing or configuring software applications.
Highly collaborative, team-oriented with strong stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead project working groups and possesses strong facilitation and data gathering skills
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or related field
Prior consulting experience – in an agile environment – with a leading strategy firm, consulting practice, or consulting technology firm
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Enterprise Software architecture experience working for one of the Tier 1 MSOs (Cable, Telecom) for their Business customer systems that are Business customer client-facing
Prior experience in Telecommunications, Media, or Cable is highly preferred
Past success in generating new business with existing clients
Good time management and collaboration skills
Compensation and Benefits:
Excelacom offers competitive salaries, health and wellness benefits, 401(k), paid time off, and career growth opportunities. For regular full-time employees, the estimated salary range is from $80,000 to $100,000.
