ABOUT THE POSITION 

The Supervisor, Web Fulfillment supports and leads daily e-commerce operations to ensure all TandyLeather.com orders are processed with speed, accuracy, and care. This role partners closely with the Manager, Web Fulfillment to oversee a team of approximately 20 fulfillment associates, ensuring high performance across all aspects of the web order lifecycle—picking, packing, and shipping. 

This hands-on leadership position is responsible for driving order accuracy, maintaining workflow efficiency, enforcing safety standards, and fostering a positive, high-accountability culture. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Order Fulfillment Operations 

  • Supervise daily e-commerce order fulfillment, ensuring all online orders are accurately picked, packed, and shipped within established SLAs.
  • Monitor fulfillment queues and shipping priorities to maintain on-time performance and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee inventory movement, packaging standards, and label accuracy to minimize errors and ensure professional presentation.

Team Leadership & Development 

  • Lead and mentor a team of approximately 20 associates, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with the Manager, Web Fulfillment, to schedule labor effectively, delegate assignments, and coach associates for growth and performance.
  • Support onboarding, training, and ongoing skill development to ensure every team member understands performance expectations and quality standards.

Quality, Accuracy & Safety 

  • Uphold Tandy’s commitment to accuracy and service excellence by enforcing quality control standards throughout the fulfillment process.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy in order picking, labeling, and packing.
  • Promote and model safe work practices, ensuring compliance with all company and OSHA safety guidelines.

Performance Metrics & Continuous Improvement 

  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including order accuracy, throughput, time-to-ship, and productivity.
  • Identify workflow bottlenecks and collaborate cross-functionally with DC Operations, IT, and Customer Service to implement process improvements.
  • Contribute to initiatives that enhance speed, efficiency, and customer satisfaction while maintaining Tandy’s high quality standards.

Collaboration & Communication 

  • Partner with the Manager, Web Fulfillment, and other DC leaders to align daily priorities, share performance insights, and coordinate resource allocation.
  • Communicate proactively with Customer Service and E-commerce teams to resolve fulfillment issues and ensure smooth order flow.
  • Serve as a role model of teamwork, professionalism, and open communication.

 

REQUIREMENTS 

Experience & Leadership 

  • 2–4+ years of supervisory or lead experience in e-commerce or retail distribution fulfillment.
  • Proven ability to manage team performance in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success coaching and motivating associates to meet and exceed KPIs.

Operational Skills 

  • Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technologies.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce fulfillment workflows, shipping methods (parcel, LTL), and packaging requirements.
  • Working knowledge of safety standards and best practices in warehouse operations.

Communication & Collaboration 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Skilled at providing constructive feedback, recognizing performance, and maintaining a positive team environment.

Technical Skills 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with modern fulfillment and ERP systems.

Education & Physical Requirements 

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and excellent attendance required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift 30–50 lbs for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
