Job Description
"Key Responsibilities
Hardware Asset Management
• Oversee the full lifecycle of hardware assets including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal.
• Maintain accurate records of engineering workstations, servers, specialized equipment, and peripherals.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to forecast hardware needs and ensure timely provisioning.
Software Asset Management (SAM)
• Design and implement SAM processes tailored to engineering and enterprise environments.
• Monitor software usage, entitlements, and deployment across CAD, simulation, and development platforms.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with licensing terms and internal governance.
License & Vendor Management
• Manage licensing agreements for Microsoft, Oracle, and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MATLAB, Ansys).
• Negotiate renewals and optimize license utilization to reduce costs and avoid compliance risks.
• Serve as the primary liaison with software vendors and procurement teams.
Governance, Reporting & Compliance
• Develop dashboards and reports on asset utilization, compliance status, and cost optimization.
• Support internal and external audits with complete documentation and asset records.
• Align asset management practices with ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR, and other relevant standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in IT Asset Management within an engineering organization.
• Strong understanding of hardware lifecycle management in technical environments.
• Expertise in managing licenses for engineering and enterprise software.
• Proficiency in asset management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, Snow Software).
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR) and ITIL practices.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
